We are Talking Heads

Talking Heads Mental Health offers authentic, compassionate and practical professional support across the Northern Rivers region and beyond.

Paul is a Registered Psychologist and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with over 25 years experience in various mental health and disability support roles. In recent years, Paul’s focus has been on delivering individualised mental health and positive behaviour support to NDIS participants, families and multi-disciplinary support teams (OT, Speech and Physio) in-person, online and via telehealth.

Paul established Talking Heads in 2025 with a vision of offering the Northern Rivers community more flexible and accessible ways to engage with psychological support. Paul’s community-based approach recognises that meaningful change doesn’t only happen within the walls of a consulting room.

Community and nature-based sessions provide an opportunity to step into environments which naturally support movement, connection, and reflection. Whether walking side by side or meeting in familiar outdoor spaces, many people find these settings feel more relaxed, authentic, and conducive to open conversation.

Utilising a person-centered, collaborative approach, Paul offers individualised support, tailored to align with your mental health goals. Paul draw's on various evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to build practical skills to help facilitate meaningful change.

NDIS participants may be eligible for in-home capacity building sessions, and online and teleheath services are available for those who live outside the area or prefer this way of connecting.
